Brown and Gaunt join the coaching team

Duffield Cricket Club is pleased to announce that highly regarded coaches Andy Brown and Oscar Gaunt have joined the coaching staff ahead of the 2024 season.

Brown, an ECB level four coach, will this season be working with the club’s most promising young players to develop their talent, alongside level two coach Gaunt.

The club has strengthened its coaching ranks in order to match its ambitions for the future, and Andy and Oscar join head coach Ian Hadfield and Hashen Ramanayake as the club’s frontline ECB qualified coaches.

Brown, former first team coach and player at Derbyshire CCC, has over 40 years worth of experience both at county and club levels, most recently at Premier League outfit Ockbrook and Borrowash – where he left his position as head coach in November.

His assistant coach, Oscar, has four years of coaching experience both in the UK and at the Cricket School of Excellence in Cape Town, South Africa.

A young fast bowler, Gaunt has recently signed for Premier League Champions Swarkestone, and has taken over 110 wickets in the top division.

The club are eager to see what Andy and Oscar have to offer, and can’t wait for them to get started.

Welcome to Duffield, lads!
